This support can help people navigate the particular pressures of the creative industries, giving cast and crew space to feel cared for, emotionally supported and better able to sustain themselves throughout their work and careers.
Support for sensitive stories
Some productions ask people to work closely with material that is painful, personal or emotionally demanding. This might include trauma, grief, abuse, mental health, addiction, illness, crime, family breakdown or lived experience storytelling. I offer trauma-informed wellbeing support so that cast, crew and contributors have somewhere steady to land if the work brings something up.
A calm space on set
When someone is affected by the material, the pace of the day or something personal that has been stirred, it can help to have a quiet, confidential space away from the noise of production. I can be available on set or nearby to offer one-to-one check-ins, grounding, emotional support and a place to pause before returning to the work.
Care for cast, crew and contributors
Wellbeing support is not only for the person in front of the camera. Difficult material can affect actors, contributors, directors, producers, researchers, camera teams, editorial teams and anyone involved in holding the story. My role is to meet people with care, calm and respect, without pushing them to disclose more than they want to.

This might include preparation before sensitive filming, on-set wellbeing support during the shoot, remote check-ins, contributor support before or after interviews, or aftercare once filming has wrapped. With 15 years’ experience in television and training as a qualified counsellor, I understand both the emotional weight of this work and the practical realities of production.
