A bit about me…

A woman with long brown hair and brown eyes smiling while sitting in a black shirt, with part of a light-colored wall and a door in the background.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in a very different field. My path into therapy has come from a deep desire to ease suffering in others. This work has called to me for a long time, and it feels like a huge privilege to be with someone on such an important journey. I also bring my own lived experience of relationships, family life, and the very often messy reality of being human.

I really truly believe that we hold the answers within us, and that given the right environment, with earned trust, safety, and an empathic, accepting and compassionate therapist, huge change is possible.

I am first and foremost a fellow human being, and secondly a humanistic, trauma-informed counsellor. That means you hold the power. You get to choose how your therapeutic journey goes, where we go, and how we get there.

I trust that you know what is right for you, and I will be alongside you as you find your way.

Qualifications

My work is grounded in a humanistic framework, and I’m trained to Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. My training reflects something I feel strongly about — that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. We shape it together, around you and what you need.

Alongside my formal training, I’m part of the Trauma Recovery Community, where I meet regularly with Carolyn Spring and other counsellors and psychotherapists to deepen my understanding of trauma and recovery. This feels like a really important part of my ongoing growth, and it continues to shape the way I think about healing, safety, and how best to support the people I work with.
