The Space
You might arrive flustered, anxious, tearful, shut down, or not quite knowing what you need. That is all okay.
This space is here to meet you just as you are, not to ask you to be anything else before you come in.
I wanted to create a space that feels calming, peaceful and safe, rather than clinical or cold.
My hope is that the whole experience of coming here helps you feel a little more settled from the moment you arrive, and a little lighter or more at peace when you leave. The therapy room is part of that too.
I know that coming to therapy for the first time can feel daunting, and that even practical unknowns can add to that.
The lodge is warm, private and very peaceful, with a kitchenette area, a toilet, and an outdoor patio where we can sit under the trees and feel connected to nature if that feels right for you.
This is your space. You can be whatever you need to be here. I have blankets, hot water bottles, arts and crafts, and games — whatever helps you feel more comfortable, grounded and at ease.
A note for fellow therapists
At certain times, I also make the space available to rent to other therapists. If you are looking for a calm, private room in which to work with clients, you are very welcome to get in touch for more details.
